Fire Dampers are used to protect the integrity of bulkheads and decks where they are penetrated by ventilation ducts. This ensures that ultimate protection is provided for personnel and equipment. NSV’s Fire Dampers can be found throughout the world, in some of the harshest environments, the use of high-grade materials and components ensures repeated high performance with minimal maintenance during service.
The "Norsea FGS-01" Fire Damper has been designed and certified for installation into fire rated divisions. These range from AO up to H120 in both vertical and horizontal configuration. NSV’s Fire Dampers have been tested at the Warrington Fire Research Centre and undergone the Department of Energy Hydrocarbon Fire Resistance Tests.
In addition to the above tests, fire dampers have also been approved by Lloyds Register of Shipping and Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for installation in A0, A60, H60 and H120 fire rated divisions.
Available sizes under the certification are 100mm square up to 1200mm square, larger areas can be achieved. Fire Dampers are 300mm deep.
The dampers can be manufactured with either, manual controls, electrical or pneumatic actuators with a wide variety of control systems in fail safe applications. Suitable for safe areas, or hazardous area applications, our dampers can be found on offshore installations and onshore at petrochemical facilities and in the nuclear industry

Pressure relief dampers are counter balanced, once configured to operate at a threshold pressure during installation they will always maintain the desired pressure within the module.
Pressure Control Dampers can be manufactured with either electrical or pneumatic actuators with a wide variety of control systems and position feedback apparatus. The position of the damper blades are controlled by a external pressure transmitter enabling set points to be changed and override facilities to be used. Used to maintain blast integrity of bulkheads and protect equipment and personnel, Blast dampers are constructed from 5mm thick casing and diffuser grille and can be configured to suit 0.5 or 1.0 barg blast pressure.
Manufactured in sizes from 300mm square upwards, the dampers are manually reset and latched with adjustable tensioners to prevent nuisance trips.
